Our Story
Founded On The Chesapeake
Waterfront Solutions is the marine contracting arm of Davis Contracting, LLC — a family-run business owned and operated by Jay Davis. Built on the Chesapeake, we focus on one thing: dependable waterfront structures that hold up to the Bay.
We are licensed as Maryland Marine Contractor #508 (E) and fully insured. The work we do — piers, lifts, bulkheads, shoreline protection — gets done by our own crew, with permits handled in-house through MDE, Army Corps, and the county. No subcontractors juggling your project, no homeowner left holding the paperwork.
Today we serve the full Chesapeake Bay and its major tributaries — Severn, Magothy, South, Bodkin, Middle, Back, and across to Kent Island and the Eastern Shore. Every structure is engineered for the specific conditions of your shoreline, and every job is one Jay would be willing to put his own name on.

Professional work — Jay was able to diagnose the lift issue that caused the cable to break and recommend the next option to fix it properly, safely, and cost-effective.
